Prof. Wanchang Zhang, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China

Ph.D. in Geosciences, Expert supported under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) "Hundred Talents Program"; Professor/Researcher and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Aerospace Information Research Institute, CAS. UNESCO Distinguished Professor.
Dr. Zhang has conducted extensive research and teaching in remote sensing and GIS applications across various domains, including ecology, hydrology, water cycles, water resources, water environments, global climate change, and global disasters. He has held long-term academic positions at Nagoya University in Japan, Nanjing University, and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS.
Dr. Zhang has developed the ESSI-I, II, III distributed watershed hydrology, water resources, and water environment simulation systems, with independent intellectual property rights. He has also created several practical models and software systems for remote sensing monitoring, risk assessment, early identification, and warning of geological, drought, flood, and environmental disasters.
To date, Dr. Zhang has authored or co-authored over 400 peer reviewed academic papers and publications in leading national and international journals, with nearly 260 papers indexed in SCI/EI as the first or corresponding author. Five of his papers have received awards in international and domestic journals or conferences. Several of his papers have been recognized as highly cited in the ESI database and in domestic journals. He has co-authored two monographs each in Chinese and English. As the primary inventor, Dr. Zhang holds 10 national invention patents and 14 software copyrights.
Dr. Zhang has achieved global recognition, with several research directions ranking within the top 1% worldwide. His commitment to academia is further evidenced by his roles as a committee member of editorial boards for numerous international academic journals, as well as adjunct professorships and lectureships at various domestic and international universities and research institutions.

Prof. Lingfeng Shi, Xidian University, China

Prof. Lingfeng Shi has published more than 120 academic papers in journals, including more than 100 papers in journals, more than 20 papers in domestic and foreign conferences, and more than 90 papers indexed by SCI (more than 20 IEEE journal papers, nearly 20 articles in journals above the second district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), nearly 20 EI indexed papers, more than 20 ISP indexed papers, 19 national authorized invention patents, 1 authorized utility model, 6 national invention patents applied, 2 invention patents transferred. He has 2 textbooks and 1 academic work in English. He has won 2 second prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award and 1 Outstanding teacher award in Xidian University.

Prof. Yufei Ma, Harbin Institute of Technology, China

Yufei Ma received his PhD degree in physical electronics from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2013. From September 2010 to September 2011, he spent as a visiting scholar at Rice University, USA. Currently, he is a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He is the winner of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund. His research interests include optical sensors, trace gas detection, laser spectroscopy, solid-state laser and optoelectronics. He has published more than 100 publications and given more than 40 invited presentations at international conferences. He serves as area editor for Elsevier Photoacoustics and Wiley Microwave and Optical Technology Letters. He serves as associate editor for Optica Optics Express, SPIE Optical Engineering, and Frontiers in Physics. He also serves as topical editor for Opto-Electronic Advances, CLP Chinese Optics Letters, MDPI Sensors and Applied Sciences.

Prof. Wai Yie Leong, INTI International University, Malaysia

(Fellow IEM , Fellow IET, CEng, PEng, SMIEEE, MIEM, H.MAFEO, APEC/IntPE)

Dr. LEONG Wai Yie is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with a Ph.D. from The University of Queensland, Australia. She is a prolific author, having penned 10 books on Electronics and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Leong is recognized for her expertise in medical signal processing, telecommunications, and her innovative research in Brain Signal Processing for EEG-based mental tasks. She has developed systems for gait analysis and upper limb tracking, with her bio-informatics techniques being commercialized by healthcare firms. Her work has enriched cultural understanding, improved quality of life, and boosted biomedical research and business innovation. Dr. Leong has been honored with awards like the IET Achievement Award 2023 and the INWES Distinguished Women In Engineering Award 2023, and she actively promotes women in technology through various international roles and organizations. With over a decade of experience, she has contributed to academic accreditation and research in biomedical signal processing, smart control, and wireless sensor networks. Dr. Leong represents women engineers in UN meetings and discussions, advocating for gender equality in STEM fields.

Prof. Paulo Pereira Monteiro, University of Aveiro, Portugal

Paulo P. Monteiro received his “Licenciatura” degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 1988, followed by an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Wales, UK, in 1990, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 1999. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, research coordinator of Optical Communications Systems and Networking at the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), and director of the Electrical and Computer Engineering course at the University of Aveiro. From October 2002 to March 2007, he was Head of Research for Optical Networks at Siemens S.A., Portugal. He then worked at Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Portugal from April 2007 until May 2013, as Research Manager. From 2016 until 2023, he was Director and Scientific Committee member of Doctoral Programme in Telecommunications MAP-tele. His main research interests include optical communication networks, microwave photonics, and electronic subsystems. He has successfully tutored and co-tutored more than 18 PhDs and participated in more than 28 projects (national and international). He has authored/co-authored more than 19 patent applications, over 160 papers in journals, and 300 conference contributions (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4664-9238).

Prof. Xinheng Wang, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China
(Fellow IET, SMIEEE)

Prof. Wang is a distinguished academic and the founding Head of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics, holding an IET Fellowship and senior IEEE membership. With over 20 years of international experience, he leads the Talented Jiangsu Innovation and Entrepreneur Programme. His research expertise encompasses IoT, wireless mesh networks, indoor positioning, big data analytics, and smart city applications. He has managed more than 30 projects funded by EU, UK EPSRC, Innovate UK, China NSFC, and industry, leading to impactful products like the IoT smart trolley system in Chinese airports. His team's acoustic localization research won first place in the Microsoft Indoor Localisation Competition. Prof. Wang has over 230 publications and numerous patents, including international and Chinese grants, with his research classified as World Leading and one paper cited over 670 times. He currently leads the XJTLU-uGo Robotics Research Centre, developing robots for services with multi-million yuan funding. His team has achieved a Deep SLAM system with 3 cm accuracy and millisecond path planning. His interests also include intelligent manufacturing with the VisionTwin system and healthcare, developing a COVID-19 diagnostic app and exploring indoor motion detection technologies.

Prof. Umesh C. Pati, National Institute of Technology(NIT), India

(SMIEEE, FIE, FIETE)

Dr. Umesh C. Pati is a distinguished Full Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Rourkela. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from NIT Rourkela and M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, with a focus on Instrumentation and Image Processing. Serving as the Chairperson of the International Students Cell and former Head of the Career Development Center at NIT Rourkela, Dr. Pati's research interests span Image/Video Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Imaging, IoT, Industrial Automation, and Instrumentation Systems. He has authored or edited three books, published over 150 articles, and filed four Indian patents. Dr. Pati has been a reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences and has delivered keynote speeches nationally and internationally. He is currently working on a high-value IMPRINT project, "Intelligent Surveillance Data Retriever (ISDR) for Smart City Applications," supported by the Indian government. He has extensive international experience, having visited countries like the USA, Italy, and Australia for research collaboration and paper presentations. Dr. Pati is a Senior member of IEEE, a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), and a life member of several professional organizations. His achievements include being listed in the 32nd edition of MARQUIS Who’s Who in the World 2015 and receiving the Torchbearer of Education Award 2020 by Coding Ninjas.

Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan, Qatar Mobility Innovations Center, Qatar

Muhammad Asif Khan is a Research Scientist at Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC), Doha, Qatar. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Qatar University (2020), an M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Pakistan (2013), and a B.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan (2009). He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Qatar University. He received the Postdoctoral Research Award (PDRA) from the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) in 2022. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a senior member of IEEE, a member of IET, and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council (UK).

Dr. Khan also serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics (TCE), IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society (TTS), and IEEE Future Directions Technology Policy and Ethics Newsletter.
